For clients in the West Midlands, a head office in the region means the people who survey your site, write the assignment instructions and review incident reports work in the same region as your premises.

We provide security guarding, mobile patrols, keyholding and alarm response, remote CCTV monitoring and construction site security for commercial, industrial and construction clients across the conurbation and the surrounding shire counties. Officers carrying out licensable activities hold the relevant SIA front-line licence.

The West Midlands commercial landscape

The region’s commercial geography is shaped by its motorway network. The M6 runs north-west to south-east through the conurbation, meeting the M5 near West Bromwich and the M42 to the east of Birmingham. The M54 links the M6 to Telford and Shropshire, and the M6 Toll offers a northern bypass towards Cannock and Lichfield.

The seven metropolitan councils (Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton) are constituent members of the West Midlands Combined Authority.

Automotive and advanced manufacturing remain central. JLR’s Solihull plant on Lode Lane is one of its main UK manufacturing sites, and its long-established Castle Bromwich site has been moving away from vehicle assembly. On the northern edge of Wolverhampton, the i54 South Staffordshire business park sits beside junction 2 of the M54; it is a 300-acre partnership site between Staffordshire County Council, the City of Wolverhampton Council and South Staffordshire Council, and is home to JLR’s engine manufacturing centre among other occupiers.

HS2 is the region’s largest construction programme. Foundation works for Birmingham Curzon Street station were completed in 2025, and work continues on the approach viaducts, the Interchange station near the NEC in Solihull and associated highway changes. To the east, the M6, M69 and M1 frame part of what the logistics industry calls the “Golden Triangle”, a loosely defined area of large distribution parks that straddles Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, taking in places such as Rugby, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Lutterworth and Daventry across the East and West Midlands boundary.

Local security requirements

Typical requirements we see in the region include:

  • Gatehouse and weighbridge procedures for logistics and manufacturing sites, with clear rules for drivers, visitors and contractors.
  • Shutdown and holiday cover for industrial premises, often combining static guarding with lock and unlock and alarm response.
  • Phased security plans for construction sites, where risk changes as plant, materials and fit-out stock arrive.
  • Protection for vacant commercial and industrial units between lettings, using vacant property inspections and remote monitoring.

How we mobilise and manage contracts here

Each contract starts with a site survey and risk discussion, followed by written assignment instructions, officer assignment and a mobilisation date agreed with you. Supervisory visits, patrol records and incident reports are reviewed by our operations team, and contract reviews take place at agreed intervals.

Short-notice cover can be requested through emergency security cover; availability and start times are confirmed per site. We do not quote fixed response times in advance. Alarm response times are agreed in the contract.

Is Seccuro based in the West Midlands?

Yes, as set out above. We do not operate separate branch offices elsewhere in the region.

Which parts of the West Midlands do you cover?

We provide services across the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Solihull, Walsall, Dudley and the wider Black Country, as well as Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Herefordshire.

Can you secure HS2-related or other large construction sites?

Our construction site security service can be configured for large or linear sites using static officers, mobile patrols, security dog handling and off-grid CCTV towers. We scope it around the principal contractor’s site rules, logistics plan and phasing. We do not claim existing HS2 contracts.

Do you provide security for distribution centres in the Golden Triangle?

Yes, in capability terms. Our guarding service can be set up for gatehouse control, vehicle checks, yard patrols and loading-bay supervision at distribution centres around Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton and nearby East Midlands locations. Duties are written into site-specific assignment instructions.
