CCTV and Site Surveillance

Solar-powered CCTV towers, lighting, deterrent pods and scaffold alarms from our sister company GO CCTV, watched around the clock and backed by our own response officers.

A solar-powered CCTV tower standing on open ground at a UK site.
In brief

We supply four products from our sister company GO CCTV: the Go Solar 365 AI CCTV tower, the Go Solar lighting tower, the Go Sentinel pod and Go ScaffSecure scaffold alarms. None of them needs mains power or site wifi, they are monitored day and night, and verified alerts can be passed to our keyholding and alarm response officers.

About this unitShow less

Built for sites with no power and no time to wait. Solar panels and a large battery bank run the tower all year without a generator or fuel. Two 4K PTZ cameras with thermal imaging cover the site day and night, and on-board AI separates people and vehicles from animals and weather, so operators only see real alerts. When someone is detected, operators can challenge them through the tower’s loudspeakers.

High-output, low-glare LED floodlights on a hydraulic mast, powered by solar panels and a battery bank sized for UK winter nights. A light sensor switches the tower on at dusk and off at dawn, so nobody needs to attend. It suits construction sites, roadworks, events and overnight depots, and there is no fuel, no generator noise and no exhaust.

About this unitShow less

A compact unit for indoor sites, shops, warehouses, forecourts and reception areas. It watches 360 degrees with a 4K camera and thermal imaging, and its built-in AI decides what counts as a threat. When it detects an intruder, a bright LED beacon flashes and a siren or spoken warning sounds, and an operator can talk to the person live. It runs on mains or battery power.

Go ScaffSecure: two motion-detector cameras mounted either side of a scaffold bracket.

Go ScaffSecure

Intruder detection fitted to the scaffold itself.

Detection
Twin PIR, 15 m range
Verification
Infrared camera captures each alert
Network
Wireless mesh with cellular base station
Weatherproofing
IP65
Battery
Lithium, 3 years+
Monitoring
24/7
About this unitShow less

Wireless units clip to the scaffold and use twin passive infrared sensors to detect anyone climbing it. A built-in infrared camera takes a picture of every alert, so the monitoring centre can confirm a real intrusion before acting. The units link to each other and to a cellular base station, so there is no cabling, and the batteries are designed to last the length of most building projects.

How monitoring works

Every unit is watched 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from an NSI Gold accredited alarm receiving centre. When a camera or sensor is triggered, an operator checks the images first. If it is a real intrusion, they challenge the person over the loudspeaker and then escalate to your keyholders, our alarm response officers or the police, following the instructions agreed for your site. Every event is logged with images, so you have an evidence trail.

Choosing the right equipment

Most sites use a combination. A Solar 365 tower covers compounds, car parks and open perimeters, and a lighting tower removes the dark corners that intruders use. ScaffSecure protects the scaffold, which is the usual way into a building under construction or refurbishment. A Sentinel pod covers indoor areas, shops and forecourts where a tower would not fit.

We survey the site, agree where each unit goes and what should happen when it triggers, then install and test everything before we leave. Units can be moved as the site changes, and we collect them when the job ends.

Licensing, law and standards

If cameras record people, the site operator is responsible for complying with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. That usually means a data protection impact assessment, clear signage, a defined retention period and secure handling of footage. See the ICO’s guidance on video surveillance. Contracted monitoring of public spaces also requires SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) licences for the operators doing it.

Technology and reporting

Footage is held in encrypted cloud storage on a 30-day rolling basis and can be exported if needed for an insurance claim or police investigation. You can view the cameras live from a phone or computer. Each alert is logged with time-stamped images.

Do the towers need power or wifi on site?

No. The Solar 365 tower and the lighting tower run on solar power with a battery bank, and the cameras connect over 4G/5G. ScaffSecure units run on long-life batteries. The Sentinel pod can use mains or battery power.

How quickly can a tower be installed?

A Solar 365 tower takes under 30 minutes to set up once it is on site, and a Sentinel pod under five minutes. Delivery dates depend on your location and availability, and we confirm them when you book.

Can we move the equipment as the site changes?

Yes. The towers are on road-legal trailers and ScaffSecure units are wireless, so they can be repositioned as gates, compounds and scaffolding move.
